WRECK THIS JOURNAL

Hello!

Today I'm writing about a certain book called 'Wreck This Journal.' These books have slowly become more and more popular, but if you don't know what it is, it's a journal with a twist.

The journal has a simple front cover, because later on in the book there is a task in which you must decorate the cover however you want.

Here are some pages from the inside:

In the Wreck This Journal you are advised different activities to do whenever you want, and in whatever order. Some of these pages include things like, 'Write one word over and over','Hang the journal in a public place','Invite people to draw here,' and many more. To some people this may seem like a waste of a journal but it certainly isn't, this journal will carry many memories, and can last for a long time if you are creative and imaginative with it.

Personally, I really like this idea. The way Keri Smith has designed this is very good, it keeps me occupied for ages as there's just so much to do. I strongly recommend you get this, you could even buy this for one of your friends if they have a birthday coming up, or just treat yourself and purchase one.

Sometimes it may seem hard on what to do on a page to make it look clever, and cool, but there is the option of googling Wreck This Journal pages, and there will be a variety of different pages people have done. Another place to get inspiration or ideas is Tumblr. Tumblr is full of creative images, and if you google Wreck This Journal Tumblr, you will also get alot of different journals people have decorated, and designed themselves.

If you're one of those people that like the sound of this journal, but doesn't think they'll be bothered to do much in it then that's fine, there is no deadline to finish this journal and you can take as long as you want complete it. Also, as there is so much to do, completing the journal could take up to a year or more, I've only done a few pages in mine because it is so time consuming, yet so fun.

If you do have the journal, or are thinking of ordering one, then collect random objects that look pretty, and could be used to decorate the journal. I've collected little ribbons off of presents that I have received in the past for decorating my journal-spare buttons, or bits of material would come in handy aswell. Before you throw something out, inspect it incase you could use part of it for decorating your journal and make it look unique, and personal to you.

You can buy this journal from Amazon, Ebay, Play.com and Waterstones, Just google Wreck this Journal and you will get multiple options for where to buy it!

Keri smith has also released some other books which you can find here.

I hope this inspires some of you to buy one, and let your reckless side come out.
