MAC LIPSTICK AND LIPGLASS REVIEW

Hello!

I got these 2 products for my birthday in November and have been wanting to review them for a while, but have never got round to it, so today I shall be reviewing both.

The two Mac products I will be reviewing is the 'Nice Buzz' lipglass, and 'Creme D'Nude' Cremesheen lipstick.

The two products look like this:
Like I said, I got these 2 for my birthday back in November, however I've only just recently started using them this month, and I'm glad I did! Both products are incredibly good quality which is what I expected as they were from Mac, however I don't think the lipstick is as moisturizing as it claims to be. If I don't use a lip-balm before applying the lipstick my lips look very chapped, and creased, which is not the look I want. But, the lipglass is surprisingly not sticky at all! I thought it would be considering it's formulated like an ordinary lipgloss, however this one glides along the lips nicely without feeling like you've just applied glue to your lips.

As you can see, both products are very nude, and subtle. This is not my usual lip colour at all, I prefer bright colours and have been wearing bright colours for a very long time, but as the weather is getting warmer I wanted something a bit more natural-these 2 are perfect for that. Creme D'Nude is a peachy nude that leaves a glossy sheen after applying-this is what differentiates a foundation-lip looking lipstick, to a cool, natural lip. The lipglass is a lighter, softer peach with gold reflexes that give a juicy look to the lipglass on your lips.

The packaging is very plain like all Mac product packaging is-unless it's limited edition, and this makes the products look a lot more sophisticated and high-end rather than packaging like '17' which doesn't sell things in boxes, or a harder wearing plastic. There are quite a few drugstore brands that try to copy Mac with the simple style packaging, but it doesn't work or look right; Mac does the best with matte black packaging, and managing to pull it off without looking cheap or rubbish.

I love wearing these 2 products together as they create such a lovely nude colour which is perfect for daytime, and nighttime. The Creme D'Nude lipstick almost looks like Kylie Jenner's lip colour here:
However my lipstick has a more glossy finish, but the similarity is very close!

As these were both presents for my birthday I don't know the pricing, but I think they'd be sold at a reasonable price for such brilliant lip products.

BIRTHDAY HAUL

Hello!

On Tuesday 26th November it was my birthday, I've just turnt 15 and surprisingly don't feel any older, and will most likely go through that phase of telling people I'm 14 forgetting I've turnt 15.
Anyway, today I will be showing the gifts I received from multiple family members and friends. I know I have quite a lot of stuff, but I am very grateful for it all and have no intention of bragging about it!

*Beware, lots of pictures*

The first things I will show you are from my mum and stepdad:

1. Ted Baker Tinicon bag
I've been wanting this bag for a while now, and to receive it as a present was brilliant, I'm so excited to use it. As you can see the bag is a pale pink, with a black bow and gold detailing. Also, on the sides of the bag it says "No ordinary designer bag", all of the places Ted Baker has a shop in, and a funny little catchphrase inside.

2. Liberty's salted caramel chocolates
Salted caramel chocolates are my favourite things on earth, I could almost live on them...or not. Anyway, these were from Liberty's which is a posh shop in London selling expensive foods and goods.

3. Nail Caviar
This wasn't on my birthday list, but I really like the sound of nail caviar so was happy when I received a set. As you can see, the colours I have are; blue, green, lilac, pink, and gold, I like all of those colours aswell which is a bonus.

4. Mac Plushglass and Lipstick
I couldn't believe it when I got these 2 products, I've loved these products from Mac for ages, and have always wanted both for ages! I will definitely be doing a review on both of these. I got the Plushglass in the colour Nice Buzz, and the lipstick in Creme d'nude.

5. Mac Pigment and glitter set
I originally only asked for Mac Vanilla Pigment, but my mum was explaining to me how it was a better deal to get this 5 piece set, which luckily contains the vanilla pigment I wanted, so I was very excited to unwrap these.

6. Shoe plasters
Every year my mum gets me a jokey sort present, and this year it was a plaster set, containing plasters representing shoes, and a few jokey looking plasters about shoes. As sad as it sounds, I now purposely want to have a cut that needs covering up with a plaster because I want to show off my new plasters.

7. Topshop fuschia socks

If you've read my blog for a while now, you may have noticed I have a rather large collection of frilly socks, and surprisingly I didn't have this bright pink pair which lead mum to buying them for me for my birthday!

8. Topshop Voucher
I only got the Topshop voucher from my mum which has £50 on it, and the other voucher was from my step auntie/uncle which has £20 on it and can be used in a variety of shops, I will most likely spend this in Topshop though.

9. Mac Makeup Session
I was given this by my mum as a Birthday treat, I get to choose anything from the right hand column of this Mac Professional Makeup Menu to go to. I think I'm going to go for the Makeup in 60 session, because it sounds the best value for money, and something I'd get a lot of knowledge and joy from.

That's it for what my Mum and Stepdad got me, they also got me some money, aswell as my Dad and a few other relatives, but I don't want to share how much I got.

My Nan and Grandad got me this:

I'm so happy I received the 1D perfume. I love 1D so so much, and to get a perfume which they supposedly made and crafted together was mind boggling. For other people, this may not be something too special, but as it's One Direction and gorgeous smelling, I am officially in love.

Presents from Friends:

Poppy:
My best chum ever Poppy made me this adorable set full of things I like, and only contains pink things which is my favourite colour. I love this set so so much, and the fact she put so much thought into it made this gift extra special, so thankyou very very much Poppy!!

Bee:
My friend Bee got me a variety of things consisting of a cute pot, a scrabble letter coaster with my initial on, some bon bons, Hand food hand cream from Soap and Glory, and a really pretty rose candle-thankyou Bee!

Jenni, Becca, and Alice:
Jenni got me the really cute Tatty Teddy chocolate bar, Becca got me the 2 packets of sweets, and Alice got me 2 boxes of chocolates which I received after my birthday at school, and ate before I could get a picture. Anyway, thanks a lot to those 3!

That's it for my presents, I am so appreciative and can't express it enough on here, but thankyou thankyou thankyou to my wonderful friends, and family, and everyone who said Happy Birthday to me.

BIRTHDAY WISHLIST

Hello!

As it's not too long away since my birthday, I thought I'd do a wishlist on what I want and hope for. Bare in mind the probability of me getting all of these items/products is quite small so don't think I'm spoilt or anything, haha.

Also, I haven't included everything I want because I would be here for ages describing them etc, these are just a few things.

Excuse the prices of some of the items, I am aware this all comes down to quite a lot of money!

The first thing on my Birthday Wishlist is a trio blush set from Sleek in the colour 'Lace'. I've actually wanted this set for a long time ever since I heard Zoella mention it in a video, and I've never got round to getting it, so hopes up I can get it for my birthday! The first colour in the trio is a peachy/coral, the second is a sheer light pink, and the third is a pink/peach. All of these colours look to be wearable and of very good quality.

Another blusher I've heard Zoella mention (notice the theme?) is the Topshop cream blushers, and I particularly like the look of this one. I don't own a cream blush so it's best not to ask for something too expensive as I may not like it, so I think this is the perfect starter cream blush in a lovely colour, and good consistency.

2 Words, Michael Kors. This watch is absolutely gorgeous, it stood out for me on the website so I knew it was the one, but it is quite pricey at $295 (£182). However, if you set aside the pricing and focus on the main aspects of the watch you notice how flawless it really is. I love the diamante encrusted watch face rim, with the white face and gold detailing, it all works so well and is truly a masterpiece.

These shoes appear to have made an appearance recently on the shelves, and they aren't everyones cup of tea, however I really like them and think they're so cute and edgy. They aren't the most versatile shoes for Autumn/Winter, but when the weather isn't too rough these would look perfect with some cute socks and jeans. Also, for £32 they look very good quality, and £32 is pretty cheap for a pair of shoes from Topshop!

Recently I've been loving the reddy tones that Autumn fashion is bringing us, and I think this sweater is perfect for the seasons fashion. I don't usually wear things like this, and want to change up my wardrobe abit, and this sweater is perfect for doing that. Also, it looks incredibly warm and comfortable which pleases me.

I currently own a pair of Nike Air Max's, and they're honestly the comfiest things ever, so I've been wanting a new pair for a while and I saw these ones on someones instagram, and was immediately drawn to them. The floral pattern is so cute and sweet but not babyish, and these would look so cute all year round being versatile trainers. For £145 I would expect them to last a long time, and the Air Max's I have at the moment have so I assume they will which is a plus side.

I know these are stereotypical American style socks, but I really do love these. American Apparel do these socks in multiple colours, but these are my favourite because they are so simple yet edgy and that's what is great about everything from American Apparel. Also, for only $8 (£4.95) you can't go wrong really!

Personally, I really really love these shorts, not everyone would because the colour is quite Barbie like which may put people off, but the colour is what attracts me to these shorts the most. When I last went to Topshop I saw a berry coloured pair of these shorts and I loved those a lot, then I saw this pair on the website and fell in love immediately. These are more of a summer staple clothing piece, but I would be happy to wear them all year round.

Ted Baker has always been one of my favourite brands, the style and appearance of all their items really appeal to me, just like this bag. I love bows, pink, and bags, what more could I ask for? This bag ticks all the boxes! I need a small sort type bag to take out, because I currently lug around my school bag which resorts in me tipping out my school stuff instead which is usually a hassle, so I think this bag is a must have for me.

The last product is probably something I will be able to get before my birthday, but anyway I really love this bright red shade, and I think it's a great all-year-round colour, but looks especially good in this season. I have done a review on the Kate Moss lipsticks, and know they work particularly well, so getting this certainly wouldn't be a waste of money.

Once again, I don't expect all of these items because it would add up to quite a high price just for my birthday, but I shall have it all one day...maybe!
