HOLIDAY TIME

Hello!

Today I'm off to the Netherlands for a 5 day holiday with my Step-dad, Mum, and Brother. We will be going to Amsterdam in Holland, and will just have a relaxing 5 days there, seeing some of the Museums, Markets, and Sights.

I've had to have the struggle of packing all my stuff into this small-ish bright pink suitcase, it was a job and a half but I got there in the end after sitting ontop of my suitcase, and getting Mum to zip it up.

I never realized how many liquids I have in my make-up bag until I was told to put them all into a plastic bag for the safety reasons, and look:

My make-up bag has only make-up brushes, and eyebrow pencils in now, it looks very odd I must say.

Holland are known for supplying the wooden shoes called 'Clogs,' and I plan to come back from Amsterdam with a pair for myself, whether I wear them or not-I don't know, but I think they're so cool and intriguing. Amsterdam is also known for the Red Light District, and I can tell you now, I do not plan on going down the District purely because I would feel very uncomfortable down there. If you don't know what the Red Light District is, google it, or ask your parents, or ask me.

The 4 of us are staying in a hotel called Krasnapolsky which has a 5 star rating, and looks like this:

The hotel is based around the centre of a town, and is surrounded by lots of different shops ranging from clothes shops, souvenir shops, and even has a Museum down the road! When there I do plan to do a little bit of shopping as they do have some markets, and a few British shops, but I can't promise anything, also whilst I'm there I will take some photos for a blog post on Sunday, and If I do buy anything I will include those aswell. This post was just to say where I'm going, and what you/I have to look forward to when I'm back from Amsterdam.

We are leaving my house at 13:30pm to head to the airport so, Goodbye Bloggers!

SUMMER HAS ARRIVED

Hello!

Summer holidays have finally arrived for me, and everyone who is still at school, which means it's time to take some action on what I want to complete throughout the holidays, and my goals.

1. Get more flexible.
During my week, I do 4 different styles of dance which I love with a passion, however I feel as though dance would be alot easier, and less tiring if I was more flexible, and could do the splits without feeling any pain. To do this I will take out roughly 30 minutes/1 hour of my time a day to stretch, and work out to get myself stronger, and more flexible, but all I need now is the motivation.

2. Paint my bedside cabinet & wardrobe.
This sounds quite silly to include on a goals list, but my room is based around the colours pink, cream, and white, but before I decided on a definite colour scheme for my room, my mum got me some medium-dark oak furniture consisting of a wardrobe, and bedside cabinet. As much as I love them both, they don't look right in my room at all-this annoys me alot, so I came up with the solution of painting them. The plan is to get some white paint that leaves a vintage look to the furniture so they don't look too white, and paint the furniture, however this means I have to take everything out my wardrobe and bedside cabinet to paint the items which will take a long time.

3. Eat more fruit.
At the moment, I eat about 1-2 pieces of fruit a day which isn't very good of me, and considering it's Summer meaning more home grown produce, I should be eating more. I'm the sort of person that prefers fruit to vegetables by a mile, but this doesn't motivate me to eat more fruit instead of snacking on unhealthy foods. Hopefully, as it is the Summer holidays I can access the garden more frequently as I won't be at school being able to get fresh fruit from the garden, and not be put off by shop bought fruit.

4. Customize old clothes.
I appear to have quite alot of old clothing items that I don't wear, but are too good to throw out, meaning there is only 1 way to resolve this-customize my stuff. There are the easy options to jazz up my old clothes by adding studs, dyeing, or ombreing clothes, but this is quite a mainstream thing to do nowadays, and I want to be abit more original, so I have the ideas of adding fringing, sewing chains around the necklines, adjusting the length, changing the buttons for something more exciting, or even add some pockets onto old clothes, the possibilities are endless! I now need to come up with ideas, and buy items needed for customizing.

5. Wear brighter lipstick.
This is also an odd thing to have on a goals list, however the sun is out alot more, and I'm still wearing a nude shade of lipgloss (don't judge me). I'd love to start experimenting with brighter colours, and make my appearance brighter and more colourful for the Summer atmosphere. Alot of people seem to like the Kate Moss lipsticks, and admittedly they do look like a really nice, colourful range, so I may buy one of those. All I need is the confidence to go out wearing a bright lip, without worrying about what people think. I also need to apply this wearing bright lipstick rule with clothes aswell because, my wardrobe is almost full of black, white, grey, and blue clothes which is too normal, and dull for Summer. If you saw my last wishlist, I did have some quite bright clothes on there which I may possibly purchase for the season.

6. Go outside.
School has isolated me from the sun, and I don't like this. Even though I don't like the really hot temperatures, before I know it the heat will be gone and we're back to the Winter/Autumn cold, and I would want the heat back immediately. I think the reason I don't spend much time outside, apart from school, is the fact I don't have anything to do outside because I'm a mole that lives in a study on the computer. I need to get into a book, or find something to occupy me outside so I get a good source of vitamin D, without feeling as though I'm about to melt away.

7. Use my Wreck This Journal more.
Last year, I got a Wreck This Journal, and for the first few weeks I was really into it and did quite alot of things it in, however I seem to have abandoned it as time has gone on which saddens me. When I first got the journal I was really excited to get creative and let my reckless side out, but now I waste my time on the internet instead when I could be doing more fun things like using my Wreck This Journal. Over the Summer, I will try to use my journal more, and not leave it in my room by itself.

These are just a few of the main things I want to complete this holiday, and I'll be keeping you updated on how I'm getting along with my goals list.

WISHLIST #2

 Hello!

I have posted my Wishlist today (Saturday), not Sunday because I have a dance show Sunday which will finish late, and I didn't want to upload it at around 11pm English time.

My first item is this cropped t-shirt from River Island. What I really liked about this, was that it was a Grandad style print, but in a cropped top form meaning it would be easy to style clothes with, and would look gorgeous with most items of clothing that aren't patterned, pairing this with something else patterned would make the outfit look way to crowded and cluttered.
In previous Wishlists', I have always seemed to include an item of clothing that's been lazer cut, I'm not sure what it is, but I just really take a fancy towards the lazer cut style clothing. These shorts are covered in oval shaped holes creating detailed patterns and flowers, with panels around the side, and are priced at £40. For £40 I think the shorts aren't quite worth that much money, however since they are done with a lazercutter, this may be adding to the price, aswell as the shorts being leather.

Summer is here, which means summery clothes are out the closet! But, I don't seem to have many Summer looking clothes. Floral pattern has been in fashion nearly every Summer as it's so pretty and looks good on anything, and as I don't have anything Summery I looked for playsuits and saw this one on New Look. I really like the light blue with the white flowers, they work so well and look really soft/calm for the ultimate Summer look. (I think I've said Summer too many times)

I know what you're thinking, yes, I know these are rather extravagant, but I really really like them. Geometric print seems to be creeping back into fashion, which I think is great, it's a really unique trend with loads of different colours and patterns-this is why I like these trousers. I'm not too sure what I would wear these with as they are so voluminous, although like the Flocked Cropped T-shirt, I wouldn't pair it with anything patterened.

Shorts are definately a Summer essential, and this pair are the cutest pair ever. For me, I would find the shorts daring to wear because they are so bright, however in this weather most people are wearing bright colours, so it wouldn't be too bad. New Look appear to be having a massive sale recently, which means these shorts have been lowered to only £8.00 originally from £19.99-what a bargain!

Once again, another brightly coloured item is on my wishlist, I seem to be going on a bright colour hype! If you know me, you'll know I love the colour pink, and this top is just perfection, as simple as it may be, its clean finish gives that edge to the top which makes it look very high end. Dorothy Perkins have priced this top at £25, some people may find this pricey for a top, but as it has such a gorgeous finish, I think it's worth it.

This blusher is absolutely gorgeous. I hear a lot of youtubers rave about it, and it looks like the perfect pink blush. Unfortunately, the blusher is limited edition and is £30, I don't mind spending £30 on clothes, but on makeup it is a little bit excessive. I think this Estée Lauder blusher has the nicest casing ever, or is that just me? I would love to have this blusher in my makeup bag, but I dont think it will appear in there anytime soon.

For my eighth item, I have gone for a Ted Baker wash bag. Pink and whire are my favourite colour combination, and I love bows so this bag is like heaven for me. Also, the bag does looks quite spacious, and I would use it for makeup so it has to be big to fit all my stuff in, and it looks the right size. Everything about Ted Baker is flawless, all because of their signature bow, and colour combinations.
Currently, I have 2 real technique makeup brushes, a blush brush, and an expert face brush, and I love them. However, I am in need of a powder brush because I lost my last one, and I'm hoping the Real Techniques one will not loose me too. For the quality of the brushes, I think all the Real Technique brushes are such good value, compared to makeup brushes you can get from own brands, these ones are so much softer and precise for any makeup you want to apply.

My final item is the Revlon lip butter in Cotton Candy, keeping on the same theme of Summer, I want a really cute pink/peach colour to wear for this season, and this one caught my eye. I've heard about these from a lot of people, and they do sound like a really nice, moisturising lipstick. I think it's really important that a lipstick can also provide a moisturising finish on your lips aswell as a pop of colour, I dislike it when you can see the lips cracking through a lipstick, so I like this element about the Revlon lip butters a lot. These come in alot of shades so you can find your perfect colour to wear, and are only priced at £7.99 which is pretty good considering it moisturizes your lips, and it looks like the product will last a long time.

TOWN HAUL

Hello!

On Saturday I went to town with Poppy, and as I got quite a few bits and bobs, I thought I'd share them with you.

Also, have you noticed the weather recently in England? It's just gorgeous.

The first item I got was a Mocha Chocolate Frappucino from Superdrug. Superdrug have been doing an offer on Starbucks drinks for quite a while now, and every time I walk past Superdrug it is too irresistible for me to not buy one. As it is an offer, I also got a vanilla flavour one, but I drunk that already-oops!
These drinks are one of the best tasting things ever, they don't have a full on coffee taste, and as it's getting alot hotter these are great for Summer.

My next item is the Pearl Drops Pro-white tooth gel, as I have been drinking alot of coffee related products, I feel as though my teeth aren't as white as they used to be. I know it sounds silly for a 14 year old to be worrying about the whiteness of their teeth, but I would feel alot fresher if my teeth were back to their original colour, (may I point out my teeth aren't actually as horrible as I'm making them sound) and as it was only £2.70 I thought I'd give it a try.

On the same topic of teeth whitening, I saw this 'Bubblemint' flavoured gum in Superdrug, and I couldn't resist it. The flavour of mint and bubblegum just sounded too amazing to not buy, and I have to say, it tastes incredible. This flavoured gum is quite new and is only priced at 59p-bargain!

Whilst in Superdrug, I got another L'Oreal Super Liner in intense black. I have had 2 of these eyeliners and they are fantastic, the slim felt-tip eyeliner gives you a desired intense look, and the thin brush makes it alot easier to get a precise, smooth line. I got this for £6.99 which I think it is quite expensive for an eyeliner, however as it's got such a good tip, and lasts a full day, the money is worth it.

Yes, I got 3 nail varnishes, but eversince I tried out the Gelly Hi-Shine nail varnish in Blueberry from BarryM, I was eager to get another one (or 3). I got these nail varnishes in Prickly Pear which is a soft purple colour; Lychee which is a nude-I got this to wear for school as we're only allowed natural colours; and Papaya which is a bright, voluminous pink-perfect for summer! Originally I was going to get 2, but Superdrug were doing a 3 for 2 offer.

As my blusher was running out, I thought it would be a good idea to get another one, and Poppy suggested this lasting finish one from Rimmel. I got this in the shade 020 Pink Rose, it's a soft pink/peach colour and is quite shimmery.  The reason I like this shade alot is because it's not a top heavy pink, it's very natural looking and something I can wear in the Summer, and for school without looking too fake.
The blusher glides along the cheek smoothly, and was only £3.99 from Superdrug.

My last item are these earrings from Claire's Accessories. It's been a very long time since I last went into Claire's, and today I went in hoping to come out with some One Direction cardboard cutouts (call me sad) but came out with this really cute earrings set, and no cardboard cutouts. This set of 3 has buttons, scissors, and spool earrings which are beyond adorable, and were only £4.50

I hope you have a nice week, and enjoy the heat.

HOLOGRAHIC NAIL VARNISH

Hello!

If you saw my haul from Oxford Street shopping you would've realized that I purchased Urban Outfitters' Holographic nail varnish, and I thought the nail varnish was too amazing to not review.

Firstly, the nail polish comes in quite a big pot compared to the size in which nail varnishes usually come in, so it lasts for a long time. Also, the nail varnish lasts a long time because you really only need 1 coat-yes that's 1 coat! It is rare to find a nail varnish that only requires 1 coat and this is it. The varnish glides along the nail so easily and I find it very hard to muck my nails up when using this as it's got such a good applicator.

Secondly, I have found it very hard to find a Holographic nail varnish considering it's not something shops such as Essie, Barry M, or any nail varnish retailers would sell, but thankfully Urban Outfitters provided me with the perfect Holographic varnish. The picture of my nails with the varnish on doesn't show exactly what the nail varnish does, what it does is in the sunlight or any light it creates an array of different colours on your nails. The only downside is that the nail varnish doesn't show the hologram effect in darkness as it's the light that triggers the polish.

In Urban Outfitters this is sold for £12, I do admit this is expensive for a nail varnish considering other brands sell varnishes for under £5, however this Holographic varnish is totally worth every penny. In addition, as there is no Urban Outfitters local to me, buying this was a necessity and for £12 I couldn't let the offer down. It is possible to get holographic nail varnishes cheaper than what I got mine for, however I had read previous reviews on Urban Outfitter's nail varnish and it seemed theirs was the best to buy.

As I said, the nail varnish only requires 1 coat, you can add 2 coats for the extra holographic effect but I think just 1 does the trick. I don't know if this is just me, but I find when I apply more than 1 coat of a nail varnish it smudges easier and chips quicker because it is thicker, and as I wear kirby grips in my hair alot, seperating those out with my thumbs causes nail varnish to smudge and smear which is why I think only 1 coat of this is necessary.

I hope you think of possibly purchasing a holographic nail varnish, whether this be from Urban Outfitters or somewhere else because it is worth it.
