COLLECTIVE HAUL #2

Hello!

Last Sunday, I went into Milton Keynes with my mum to go shopping in the centre, and I thought I'd show you what I got as I did end up purchasing quite a lot of things. Also, excuse the white wash sort effect over the pictures, I took these in day time and half of the clothes were really light compared to the others, so I attempted to make it look even, and it failed a little bit!
I decided it was time that I got my wardrobe sorted out for the Autumn season, and although I have items in here that aren't very warm, they fit in with the Autumnal fashion. (I also purchased some underwear but I don't think that's necessary to show.)

The first 4 items are from Topshop.

1. Wooly cardigan and mint green blouse.
Before shopping, I knew I wanted to come out with a wooly cardigan, and I have successfully done that. This cream, wooly cardigan is the comfiest thing ever, and will surely keep me warm throughout the Autumn and Winter weather approaching. The cargidan was originally £38 but I got 10% off as it had a snag, making the item £34.20. As soon as I saw the mint green blouse, I fell in love because I don't own anything in my wardrobe that's mint green, and I was in need of a blouse. In the photo, the blouse looks quite big, and this is good because I wanted this to be an oversized clothing item to wear with the buttons undone as a jacket style blouse. The blouse was £38.00, and for the quality of this I think that's a good price.

2. Black and white vests.
Everyone needs a white and black vest in their wardrobe, and last Sunday was the day I got some. These vests have quite a sheer feel to them, and are quite loose fitting, which I surprisingly like, because usually I like to have vests fitted so that I can wear something on top and not have it hanging out, however I wouldn't wear these under a top, I'd leave them as they are because they do look reasonably nice to wear out and about without looking under dressed. I also got these 2 vests for only £12, bargain!

3. Baby pink lace crop top and high wasted denim shorts.

When walking into Topshop, I immediately noticed baby pink being displayed everywhere, and was drawn to this top straight away. I'm aware this crop top doesn't look very Autumnal at all, but I think the colour is so pretty, and I really like wearing lace so I thought this was a good buy. In addition, I got this top because I thought it would go nicely with the shorts, and wooly cardigan-woohoo. I am also aware shorts will not keep me warm, but with a pair of black or skin coloured tights I can make this work! It's hard to notice in the picture, but the shorts are high wasted and a light blue denim, which is good because I can wear these with multiple items unlike my dark denim shorts I own at the moment.

4. Spike necklace and frilly socks.
As I'm sure you would've noticed, I have a thing for gold statement necklaces, and I thought I would get something a little more toned down, so opted for a 5 spiked golden necklace. I think this will add abit of colour and texture to an outfit that isn't extremely plain, but just needs that extra bit of kapow (don't ask). I'm sorry. I couldn't resist more frilly socks-you would've thought I had all the colours now, but apparently not?! Anyway, Topshop have once again got a 3 for £8 offer on, and once again I have fallen into the trap of going ahead with this offer. The first pair of socks are a deep blue, the second are a dusky nude/pink, and the last pair are plain black, I got the deep blue and pink ones because they are extremely suitable for Autumn, and the black pair simply because I wear them to school.

The Topshop purchases are over.

5. Tartan crop top.
Recently, a new shop in Mk has been opened replacing the clothing store Republic with a clothing store called the USC. I hoenstly have no idea what USC stands for, the only thing I can briefly think of is United Clothes Store? Anyway, one clothing pattern that is making an appearance for the Autumn lines is tartan. I think the rugged/geometric look of tartan is what makes it appear suitable for Autumn, and especially this top with the black and red contrasting against eachother gives that deep, firey vibe. In USC this crop top was paired with a tartan tube skirt, I was tempted to buy the full outfit, but thought I'd start off with just the top because I'm still unsure whether tartan is my 'thang,' but I'm willing to give it a try, and for £14 you can't not experiment with it!

*On Friday 20th my mum went out to MK and got me the matching tube skirt for £18.*

6. Black leather Vans.

Earlier on in the haul, I said about getting the black frilly socks for school, and these are what I will wear the socks with. Previously for school, I would wear black canvas shoes, which provided no warmth, or support for my feet, and as the cold, wet weather is approaching I thought it would be better to get some long lasting shoes. I've seen a few people round school wearing leather shoes like these, and thought they would be a good idea for school because they are strong, and work well with the frilly socks that are visible as I roll my trouser bottoms up. Anyway, these were the most expensive singular item at £56, I admit this is pricey for shoes I'm going to wear for school, but in the long run they're worth it.

7. Hotel Chocolat chocolates.
Finally, mum and I went into Hotel Chocolat (as per usual), and as salted caramels are my all time favourite chocolate, I got some of those, and mum picked out some Raspberry Pannacotta chocolates. The sound of salted caramel doesn't sound very appealing, I mean, salt, caramel, and chocolate?! Well, you'll be surprised at how well this flavour combination works together. Now, I'm no food expert, but the bitterness of the salt with the sweetness of the chocolate and caramel is truly magnificent-I applaud the inventor of this! As for the Raspberry Pannacotta chocolates, I haven't tried one of these yet, but as the packaging says; the white chocolate casing is full of layers of zingy raspberry and vanilla cream, topped off with freeze dried raspberries-sounds pretty good to me! Anyway, if you haven't heard of Hotel Chocolat I suggest you find one nearby because the flavour variety in store is fabulous.

Sorry I ended up babbling for a while, but I hope you enjoyed this post.

COLLECTIVE HAUL

Hello!

It feels like I haven't updated in ages, but I did post something last Sunday-I think my brain is a little frazzled, and if you're on term break then I hope you're having a nice one.

Last weekend, I went shopping with my mum and decided I would do a haul. If I ever go shopping and buy some interesting stuff then I will most likely do a blog post on it.

As you can see I got quite alot of things, and yes I did buy a tiara.
Starting from the left I got:
  • Maroon zip up jacket-Topshop
  • Cinderella tiara (for a friend's princess themed leaving party)-Disney Store
  • Blue and purple frilly socks-Topshop
  • Acid wash jeans-Topshop
  • Nike air max 1's-Foot Locker
  • Black and white striped crop top-Topshop
  • Nail varnishes (will post a close up)-Topshop
  • Gel insoles-Topshop
  • Umbrella-Topshop
  • Disco pants-Topshop
  • Dollar sign earings (will post a close up)-New Look
  • Chunky chain necklace-New Look
  • Black jumper with spiked collar-Topshop
Currently, for school I wear a zip up jacket over my jumper, but the one I had previously was from New Look and literally provided no warmth whatsoever, It was just one layer of material whereas the one I got from Topshop is much warmer and has a soft layer inside which is extra snuggly!

I have been living in some blue leggings/jeans for ages now and decided it was time I got a new pair of jeans to wear, so I thought I would get some acid wash jeans. Some people don't like the look of acid washed clothes, but I really like the effect it gives off.

My Nike Air Max 1's took alot of searching for, but I finally found a pair in my size, you can buy them from Office, and they are quite pricey but so so comfy. The shoes are white with a purple/blue shiny bit and a red nike tick, the gelly air bubble is also red and there is a grey section on the shoes aswell. I have seen quite alot of people wear these shoes and I thought they looked nice, so I got some of my own. I have worn the shoes with black disco pants and a grey top with the chain necklace, but you could also wear the shoes with jeans-I would roll the jeans up.

The earrings and necklace look like this close up:
The earrings are gold plated dollar signs, aswell as the necklace. I've been on the hunt for a chunky chain necklace for ages and finally I've got one, I also found the earrings cute and different.

Some may say the necklace and earrings look chavvy but so many people about wear these sort of necklaces. Zoella owns one, and if you have a tumblr account and look at the fashion pictures then most people are wearing these sort of necklaces. Also, if you wear the earrings with clothing that isn't chavvy then they won't appear that way.

Whenever I go to Topshop I always buy a pair of socks and some nail varnishes. The socks I got are a deep purple and blue, and look like a galaxy with frills at the top of the socks. The nail varnishes I got are called Bees Knees and White Witch, I think I got the last ever White Witch though because it isn't on the website, and it was the only one in Topshop.
Bees Knees is a pale yellow colour, not as bright as yellow itself but a lovely summery colour. White Witch is a clear varnish but with white holographic hexagonal sparkles in, I would use it as a top coat for a plain white nail varnish as itself on a bare nail looks too plain and lost.

Overall, I like what I have purchased, and I was in need of some new clothes to wear!

L'OCCITANE OBBESSION

Hello Ladies (maybe gentlemen),

I have recently started to become obsessed with L'Occitane products, which range from body washes, to face scrubs, and everything in the shop is beautiful.

When I go to Milton Keynes shopping centre, I always seem to find myself entering L'Occitane and coming out with something purchased...oops. The thing about the shop is that everyone working there is so lovely and welcoming, last time I went I was offered a Strawberry and Raspberry tea which was rather yummy! My mum went into L'Occitane at Christmas time and she was offered some champagne, If you have a L'Occitane where you live, do you get served drinks at all?

Anyway, here are my products from L'Occitane:

As you can see I do have quite a lot of things, most of these have been gifts or came in a set. From the left I'll say what each item is and give a small description about it. As some of these products are the same thing just different smells I will just note what they smell of.

Ultra Rich Body Lotion- Very moisturising  and doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky after.

Essential Water- Spray onto the face for a refreshing feel (Not for drinking), face feels refreshed and awake after use.
Precious Cream- A moisturiser for the face, smells of freshly washed bed sheets.
Conditioner- Gives hair a smooth feel, doesn't leave the hair feeling knotted.
Shampoo- Refreshing feel on the hair, doesn't make the scalp feel dry or itchy.
Body Lotion (rectangular bottle)- Smells citrusy.
Pink Shower Gel- Rose, floral scent (Peony), Use in the shower-applied to the skin.
Pink Beauty Milk- Rose, floral scent (Peony), Use for moisturising.
Perfume- Smells citrusy, very lovely perfume and surprisingly, one of my favourites.
Shower Oil- Use in the shower as a body wash, smells almondy.
Square Soap- Can be used as hand soap or for the body, smells of honey.
Leaf Soap- Citrusy smell-like the perfume.
Hand cream (small)- Apply to the hands, not sure what this smells of but has some sort of scent to it.
Cooling Hand Cream/Gel- Smells tangy and slightly citrusy.
Sugar Bath Cube- Place in the bath as a bath bomb, has mint, pine and rosemary oils in.

All the products came in various sets, the ones with the leafs on and are all citrusy smelling came in the Revitalizing Verbena Essentials set. The 2 Pink items came in a set of 3 but I have used the Hand cream up, this is called the Piovine Flora Trio

Currently the set in which I got the products with dark blue bottles, rich body lotion and the small hand cream in is not on the website, so I will just link the products with the name up there^, (The products I have are tester sizes as they did come in sets).

One thing I am really loving from L'Occitane is the Essential Water. In the morning, I spray this over my face and it makes me feel more awake, it doesn't wake you up in a shocking almost uncomfortable way, you just feel soothed and ready for the day. Another thing I really like is the L'Occitane hand creams.

My hands get dry quite quickly, especially in Winter and I feel that the hand creams work to keep them moisturised. Sometimes, hand creams do leave your hands feeling sticky and take too long for the moisturiser to sink into the hands, but L'Occitane hand creams sink in quite quickly and you only need to apply a small amount as a little bit goes a long way.

NEWLOOK HAUL

Hello again!

If you read my post last Thursday I said about doing another haul on the other items I purchased, so here it is! These items are from New Look, apart from 2 of them- The Benefit Mascara and Blusher.

From New Look I purchased 2 vests- one in black and the other in cream, a denim skater skirt, ear stretchers, 2 packs of footless tights, a rucksack, and a collar necklace. In Debenhams I bought a Benefit mascara, and Benefit blusher- you can buy Benefit make-up in Debenhams aswell as other beauty ranges.

The vests and the footless tights were more essentials to me, something I wear quite a lot of the time. I wear vests most of the time because they add an extra layer of warmth, and as I do dance most of the week I wear footless tights for that, and footless tights are good just for wearing around the house on a lazy day.

In the picture the bag looks brown, but it is actually an army green colour with black fake leather lining, and golden buckles. I got this bag because I needed a new bag for school, before I got the bag I was using a rucksack from Claires. The rucksack from Claires lasted me quite a long time, but it was small and didn't fit my books in leaving them crushed and damaged so I felt it was time I got a new bag.

If you're wondering what I mean by a 'Collar Necklace,' it is just a collar-like you get on polo shirts, but stylish and worn as a necklace. The collar is done up by a button at the front, depending on the shop it can depend on the way you do up the collar. I really like the idea of having a collar which can be paired with a plain jumper, and make a statement of the piece.

The denim skater skirt isn't quite as thick as denim, but it is a faded blue/white colour which looks like denim. I had a black skater skirt from Topshop before I got this one which a friend borrowed, and is still borrowing so I thought I should get a new one. With this skater skirt, I wear a grey tshirt with rolled up sleeves (from Topshop) tucked in, and add a statement piece necklace as everything else in the outfit is quite plain.

Skater Skirts are really cute, and I feel as though they are really in fashion right now. Nearly everywhere I go I see people in skater skirts, I think this is because you can wear them for going out to a party or just for walking around shopping centres in, they're really great skirts and if you don't have one I recommend you get one.

Thank you for reading and see you on Sunday!

TOPSHOP HAUL

Ciao!

I went shopping yesterday which means haul time! On my shopping trip, I went to quite a lot of shops, and bought quite a lot of things. The haul today will be on the Topshop items I purchased, and next Thursday I will do a haul on the other items.

As you can see I got 4 tops, 1 pair of shorts, a necklace, and some socks. Unfortunately the space rocket top was in the clearance section so it will be very unlikely you will be able to buy the top, aswell as the striped shorts.

I adore Topshop, and all the clothes sold there are magnificent. The prices are quite high, but then again the clothes are in great quality and worth the cash. Also, Topshop are always up to date with the latest fashion and are always bang on trend, if you've never shopped at Topshop before-or even gone in it, I strongly recommend you browse around!

If you saw my Weekly Wishlist on Topshop I have managed to purchase 1 of the tops on there which was the Roll Back Crop Tee, but I did get a shorter version of the Stripe Trousers.

The space rocket top may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's super cool. The top is quite unusual and I haven't seen many people out and about wearing a similar top! When I first picked up the top I wasn't too sure what I would wear it with, but I wear it with some jeans or some plain leggings. If I were to wear the top with patterened leggings or coloured jeans, it would be too much and most likely clash.

Topshop are most popular for supplying people with the cutest socks ever. The frilly socks that are sold in Topshop are adorable, the amount of pairs I own is unreal. They have so many different colours, if I could own all the colours/styles I would! I wear mine with creepers, and as I have plain black ones all the colours and style of socks go with them.

If you don't own a pair of frilly socks from Topshop I suggest you go out and buy them, sometimes they do offers like 3 socks for £5 which is good considering the socks are really lovely!

Short Story
Basically, whilst mum and I were browsing in New Look, I found a bag that I liked and wanted to buy, so I put it on my arm. We went up to the till to pay for the other items then left- unnoticably I had walked out with the bag that I didn't pay for, so we quickly ran back to the queue and paid for it, phew! (None of us are thieves). Thank-god I noticed that it was still on my arm otherwise we would have been taken to the Police Station to be questioned for theft!

Thank you for reading, overall the shopping trip was a success and I am pleased with what I purchased.
