Hello!
Over the past few month I have been collecting products I have disliked for reasons such as the quality, colour, or usage of the product so I could do a 'Products I Regret Buying' post, and here it is.
1. Clean & Clear blackhead clearing cleanser.
The first product I regret buying is this cleanser by Johnson&Johnson. Firstly, It says that there are results from day 1, I used this for a week every night and I found no successful results, and I actually think it triggered more blackheads which is weird? Also, the product smells awful, it's so so strong and when rubbing it around my nose, the smell becomes incredibly unbearable. If you've ever smelt pure hand sanitizer, it's like that, but stronger.
2. Master Shape brow pencil in dark blonde.
I bought this after I dyed my hair blonde because at the time I was using a hazel colour, but I regret this decision alot. The colour isn't the problem, it's the formula of the product. When I first tried filling my eyebrows in with this pencil, it put no product onto the brows unless I pushed extremely hard, and when the product did get onto my brows, it looked very pasty and blotchy.
3. Natural Collection blusher in Pink Cloud.
As you can clearly see, this blusher has broken, which is the main issue here. I have no idea how this broke, but I now can't use it because if I even try to get my blush brush in there, the contents spill all over the place, and I'd rather not have a pink carpet as much as I like the colour pink! The blusher also isn't stuck into the pot, the metal casing comes out easily which may be the cause of the breakage. However, for only £1.99, this isn't a big loss in money, but I could've bought another product with that money.
4. Stay Matte foundation in 100 Ivory.
The first problem with this foundation is the colouring, it's way too dark for my skin-why I bought this in the first place I have no idea! Also, my hand is more tanned than my face, so this foundation on my face would make me bright brown/orange. If the foundation was still my colour, I wouldn't like it too much anyway because it's very sheer, providing no coverage on the skin. To add on to that, I don't wear liquid foundation in my daily life anyway, so overall this product is generally a waste to me.
5. Simple Eye make-up remover pads.
I wasn't intending to buy these eye make-up remover pads, but the stores ran out of the ones I usually use (Johnson&Johnson), so I had to resolve to these. These remover pads are way too thin to get any product off the eye, and are really hard to grip onto because of the thickness. As you can see, compared to the ones I usually use, the Simple ones are so thin you can almost see through it. If you wear quite alot on your eyes, then these remover pads wouldn't be advisable in my opinion.
6. 6 way nail file
This 6 way nail file is in general a really good idea, however it doesn't last long at all. The problem I had with it is that one of the sides peeled off within the first few days of purchasing, but it wasn't just that side that decided to fall off, the other ones became loose and have started peeling off creating it hard to use the file in it's correct order. Also, the material that you file your nails with isn't very strong at all, and tears incredibly easily. Overall, this product in general just isn't very long lasting and well built, but as I said, the idea is good.
These are just a few examples of products I regret buying, but if you have any of these products have you encountered the same problem?
In no way do I mean to offend the maker of these products, I'm just giving my opinion on them.
