Hello!
Recently a lipstick brand by Kate Moss has been released for Rimmel London, and I honestly love the lipsticks so much, and today I shall explain to you why.
After
hearing so many people rave about these lipsticks, I thought I'd join
in with the crowd and buy one (or 2). Originally, I got the lipstick in
101 because it was just a soft pink colour, so I could try it out and
see if I liked the feel of the lipstick-which I did, so I then went out
and got another one in 16 which is more of a brighter/peach pink. The
101 one is from her matte range, and my 16 one is from the Spring
collection, all the collections differ from reds, to pinks, to peaches,
browns, and oranges which is a very good variety.
Firstly,
I really love the smell of the lipsticks. I know this is a weird thing
to notice, but they smell so juicy and sweet, I can't really describe
the smell but it's just so delicious whatever it is! All the lipsticks
smell the same, no particular smell for a particular colour, but the
lipsticks don't taste as good as they smell so don't eat them. (did I
say smell enough times?)
Something that caught my eye the most about these is the packaging, I
really like the simplicity of the outside, but then her signature added
onto it adds that cute personal touch, especially as it's her signature
making the tube look like Kate Moss herself has signed every tube. Also,
these lipsticks are such good value for money at only £5.49, you get
alot in the tube, and the lipsticks in general are just great.
The
Kate Moss lipsticks are also very moisturizing, and easy to apply.
Sometimes, I find lipsticks quite sticky to put on-whether this is
because I don't put enough lip balm on before or something I don't know,
but these don't require lip balm before applying. However, if you
suffer with insanely dry lips all year round, I suggest using a lip balm
to prevent any cracks or odd dry patches on your lips.
Finally, there is also the option of lining your lips before applying these with a lighter or darker shade of pink to slightly change the tone of the lipstick. If I was to wear 16 for a formal night out, I would use a red/pink lip liner to tone down the brightness and make the lipstick appear more sophisticated, and if I was to wear 101 for a Summer look, I'd use a slightly brighter/peach pink lip liner to create a soft, Summery tone.
If you don't own a Kate Moss lipstick, I definitely think you should go out and buy one to try, whether it be an autumn red, or a bright pink, all the lipsticks are worth a buy!
Do you have any Kate Moss lipsticks, if so, what shade?
